Brent and Kim Burdick

Brent and Kim Burdick served with One Mission Society in the Philippines for 20 years. They were involved in field leadership and church development. Brent served as the field leader for the OMS ministry in the Philippines from 2000–2011. He served as president of the OMS-related Faith Evangelical Church of the Philippines (FECP) and was also the senior pastor of Faith Fellowship Ministry Center, a congregation of more than 1,500 in Manila. He was also a former president and chairman of the board of Faith Bible College, an OMS-related pastoral training institution in the Philippines. 

Kim helped lead and develop various ministries in Filipino churches, such as discipleship, counseling, women’s ministries, and people in crisis. She coordinated the National Women’s Congress for FECP and was the coordinator of the FECP 20th anniversary committee. Kim served on the leadership team of OMS’ Dynamic Women in Missions from 2011–2014, taking teams of women on short-term trips to various OMS fields. She is currently the LifeGroups coordinator and directs the women’s ministry at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Brent is currently seconded by OMS to the Lausanne Movement as director of the Lausanne Global Classroom. He is also adjunct professor of missions and global engagement coordinator at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC. He is on the boards of Great Commission Consulting, an organization that provides pre-field evaluations for sending organizations, and of the Bible Coalition, which focuses on Bible literacy and training worldwide.

Brent earned a doctor of ministry degree in 2011 from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky.

The Burdicks have been married since 1984. They have four adult children and five grandchildren.
