DWIM Regional Network Representative - USA

Represent and collaborate with our Dynamic Women in Missions ministry (or DWIM) by:

  • Building relationships within your local community to empower women with biblical principles for family, community, and global leadership impact.

  • Striving to maintain an OMS/DWIM presence through networking and ministry connections. 

  • Creating, organizing, and leading OMS/DWIM short term mission trips utilizing OMS/DWIM policies and procedures.

  • Accomplishing departmental support assignments to enhance, grow, and strengthen the DWIM mission: to share, invite, and empower women to participate in the Great Commission.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with OMS Global and US Church Partnership departments to engage churches and other organizations in the US & around the world in the Great Commission and make disciples by utilizing the following strategies: 

    • Build strong relationships with pastors through regular visits, calls, emails, etc., gaining an understanding of the churches’ interest and opportunity for mission’s involvement.

    • Schedule missionary speakers in churches/ministry venues and assist with logistical support, providing regional knowledge and encouragement. 

    • Speak at church mission conferences and events.

    • Teach/Coach/Promote mission strategies and best practices at church/ministry venues, including DWIM short-term ministry opportunities. 

    • Recommend and provide mission-related resources to church leaders.

    • Mentor and disciple women of the church to provide missional understanding and opportunity.

    • Plan and coordinate women’s conferences/events that can be utilized in US and cross-cultural settings.

    • Participate in and/or facilitate women’s special events, service projects, and other activities.

    • Pray regularly for the women of the church and God’s direction.

  • Provide necessary support to OMS partnerships in alignment with OMS Global to create/develop, plan, organize, and lead OMS/DWIM short-term mission trips utilizing OMS/DWIM policies and procedures:

    • Mobilize women to become an active part of the Great Commission by Engaging, Equipping, Empowering and, Mobilizing.

    • Gain knowledge, build relationships and maintain communication with host countries and their ministries in order to promote opportunities for women to serve. 

    • Relate directly with the OMS Field Leaders/Regional Directors and/or their designee to keep communication flowing in both directions. Information includes but is not limited to: training budget, team budget, logistics, etc. 

    • Recruit, encourage, prepare, and train teams for cross-cultural travel and ministry opportunities according to DWIM procedures.

  • Work in conjunction with DWIM Advisory Team, OMS Staff, and others on assigned tasks that support, build and promote OMS and DWIM ministries. 

    • Assist in the development of new ministry events, literature, and related special projects.

    • Develop and manage audio/visual opportunities, promotional, and social media as directed.

    • Provide timely communications, reports, and files on regional activities.

  • Assist funding projects: 
    • Develop and/or participate in fundraising events as needed for DWIM short-term trips, projects, and events.
    • Capitalize on speaking engagements with regional churches (i.e. small group meetings, services, mission conferences, camp meetings, Sunday school, special events, etc.).


Skills and Experience:

  • Previously attended a DWIM short-term trip (recommended)
  • General language, communication, mathematical, reasoning ability, and relational skills.
  • Able to work independently and as a member of a team.

  • Basic use of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as Social Media apps.

  • Christ follower with a servant heart and spirit.

  • Understanding of One Mission Society’s mission, policies, and procedures.

  • Multi-lingual is a plus.

This role is US-based, while requiring some international travel. It is a support-based position that involves raising financial support through ministry partners for salary and other expenses.
