Scott and Michelle Halverson

Scott and Michelle Halverson serve as missionaries with One Mission Society. Scott is a church multiplication facilitator (CMF) for Haiti, focused on strengthening pastors and helping establish healthy, multiplying churches in some of the most challenging environments.

For more than a decade, Scott has worked directly with pastors and church leaders in Haiti, building trusted relationships and walking alongside them through the realities of ministry on the ground. His role is not to replace local leadership, but to strengthen it—offering encouragement, biblical guidance, and steady support so pastors can continue leading their churches effectively.

Many of these pastors serve in environments marked by poverty, instability, and constant spiritual pressure, where discouragement and isolation are real threats. Strengthening these leaders is essential to the survival and growth of the local church.

Scott’s background includes five years as a firefighter, three years in law enforcement, and five years serving as a chaplain to both fire and law enforcement personnel. These years forged his ability to remain calm under pressure, read situations clearly, and lead through crisis—skills that now directly serve pastors facing difficult and often overwhelming circumstances.

For over 10 years, Scott has personally invested in this work, not only through relationships but by helping provide critical resources such as Bibles, hymnals, and transportation for pastors serving in remote communities. He remains in regular contact with many of these leaders, continuing to coach, encourage, and pray with them as they carry the responsibility of leading their churches.

Michelle shares this calling and has developed a deep love for the people of Haiti, especially the children and local church communities. After experiencing the ministry firsthand, she and Scott committed themselves to serving where they believe God is actively at work.

Their mission is clear: strengthen leaders so the church remains strong, the Gospel continues to spread, and communities are transformed.
