BJ and Andi Williamson

BJ and Andrea Williamson served in Ecuador as missionaries with One Mission Society. They began their career in 2004, working with an Every Community for Christ (ECC) church planter in the eXtreme Walk program. Later, they served as leaders of the program, and as district liaisons, then as team leader of the West Loja outreach ministry (2015-2020). They worked in the least-reached province in Ecuador (Loja), pioneering church planting and growth in key communities. Through the years they have seen the effects of churches start, grow, and be persecuted.

The global reach continues as BJ now serves on the ECC production team as a translation liaison. He maintains contact with translation teams that OMS/ECC has around the globe that are in process of translating training and church planting materials. He works closely with the teams to provide encouragement, communication, and pastoral care. The goal is to help the teams through the translation processes to develop the material to its fullest potential and to put it in the hands of the partnering churches to reach people for Christ, multiply disciples, multiply leaders, and multiply churches.

BJ and Andrea both hold undergraduate degrees from Asbury University. BJ received his degree in Bible and theology, and Andrea’s degree is in missiology. BJ also completed his license in theology at SEMBEC Seminary in Cuenca, Ecuador.

The Williamsons were married in October of 2003. They welcomed their first child, Elijah, in April 2006; their daughter Lydia in July 2008, son Micah in April 2013, and newest family member born in 2016 and adopted in Nov 2019, son Jonathan.
