Haiti Relief Fund

On August 14, another major earthquake hit southwestern Haiti, causing loss of life, injury, and widespread destruction.

Les Cayes, located in the south of Haiti about 90 miles southwest of the capital of Port-au-Prince, was one of the hardest hit areas near the epicenter of this 7.2 earthquake. Les Cayes is the home of a new 4VEH radio station.

Latest reports indicate that the death toll has surpassed 2,200, with another 12,000 injured, and more than 53,000 homes either damaged or destroyed. 

We are grateful that none of the OMS partner ministries were directly impacted. But several Every Community for Christ workers’ homes were damaged or destroyed.

OMS needs your help to empower our national partners as they provide relief to the suffering.

Please pray for people in critical need, including:

• Rescuing those who are still trapped.
• Getting medical care for those injured.
• Providing food, water, safe shelter, and other necessities for all those in desperate need.
• Helping and comforting all affected by this disaster that likely triggers trauma from the 2010 earthquake.
• Praying for our partners serving in Haiti in the days ahead!
