Chris and Heather Williams
Chris and Heather Williams
One Mission Society commissioned the Williams family in 2014 to serve in Medellin, Colombia. While there, Chris served as the field director of Colombia and later as the regional director for Latin America and the Caribbean.
Chris and Heather worked to assist the OMS-founded denomination in Colombia to identify, inspire, and equip national believers to serve God as missionaries and to foster a missional culture in the local churches. They also supported the various ministries of OMS Colombia in numerous ways while raising three children, Kenley, Madison, and James.
In 2022, OMS asked Chris and Heather to serve at the World Headquarters. Chris currently serves as the executive director of Global Ministries, leading the missionaries, national workers, and ministries of OMS around the world. Heather serves as the USA director of short-term mission trips.
The Williams family desires to be part of what God is doing to reach all people groups with the Gospel and to make disciples of all nations. They are passionate about mobilizing those whom God calls to go where he sends.
Chris holds a B.A. degree from the University of North Alabama, where he majored in history and minored in philosophy of religion. He earned his M.A. in world mission and evangelism from Asbury Theological Seminary.
Before coming to OMS, Chris and Heather were members of Clay United Methodist. They were involved in their church and a homeless ministry in Birmingham, Alabama. Chris served as pastor at Shiloh UMC and as the associate pastor and youth minister at St. James UMC. Chris is ordained with One Mission Society.
