Don and Peggy Saum

Don Saum has worked in the International Ministries Department (IMD) at OMS headquarters since 1994. IMD oversees the OMS work around the world. Don communicates with both OMS missionaries and international leaders from OMS-related national churches, Bible schools, and seminaries. As a part of IMD, he also serves as director of International Support Ministries, which mainly focuses on OMS-related Bible schools and seminaries. With the help of office staff, the department is involved in providing funds for various schools and relating to donors investing in these schools.

Don gives special attention to the OMS work in some countries that have no resident OMS missionaries, including the Democratic Republic of the Congo, India, and South Asia. He desires to encourage leaders in these countries and champion some of their needs.

Don and Peggy are graduates of Asbury University, and Don also graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary. Peggy was a missionary in Latin America before their marriage in 1976. Don served as a pastor for 10 years in the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church. They went to the South Pacific in November 1978, where they served until May of 1993, when they could no longer get their visas renewed. Their daughter Cindy was born when they served in the South Pacific.
