About the Biblical Seminary of Colombia
The Biblical Seminary of Colombia is a theological education institution with more than 80 years of history. We offer an undergraduate (bachelor) degree in Theology in both residential (emphasis in Biblical Studies or Ministry Studies) and online formats (emphasis in Ministry Studies), as well as Masters’ degrees in Biblical Interpretation and in Christian Ministry, offered in both residential and online formats.
We are an interdenominational institution rooted in the conservative evangelical tradition as expressed within our context. Our faculty includes professors from diverse national and theological backgrounds. Most of our graduates serve in Colombia, primarily in pastoral ministry across a variety of denominations.
Through our Extension Division, we offer a Bible and Christian Ministry program designed to provide holistic training for Christian leaders who seek to serve both church and society based on sound biblical foundations. This program is completed over two and a half years and is offered in Saturday morning, weekday evening, and online formats.
Our Continuing Education division offers certificate programs, seminars, workshops and conferences in areas such as Faith and Displacement, Biblical Interpretation, Biblical Preaching, Children’s Ministry, Pedagogy, Counseling, Youth Ministry, and Agents of Peace and Reconciliation. We also offer English courses designed to strengthen students’ academic reading proficiency.
As part of our broader engagement, we serve the surrounding community through the Community Children’s Library (BINCO), which hosts initiatives such as Kids’ Club.
We are likewise committed to the pastoral care and spiritual formation of our students through discipleship opportunities, pastoral accompaniment, and initiatives that support their spiritual growth and overall well-being.
