Shannon Rice

In December 2011, Shannon Rice joined Dynamic Women in Missions (DWIM), a ministry of One Mission Society. She serves wholeheartedly, encouraging and connecting women with global missionaries and the women they serve. Shannon partners with individuals, churches, and organizations, developing a deeper awareness of the Great Commission and the needs of missionaries. Through encouraging events, trainings, and conferences, she shares opportunities to serve, equip, and minister to women everywhere. Shannon develops programs, prepares and leads short-term trips to many mission fields, and supports visiting international missionaries as the DWIM regional network representative.

Shannon was raised in a Christian family and accepted Christ while in elementary school. She rededicated her life to Christ and was baptized in her early teens. Married right out of high school, she and her husband happily raised their two daughters, Christyna and Mari, as they traveled and lived where the Army sent them. In 2007, after 34 years of marriage, she was widowed. God used life’s struggles to draw her closer, guiding her through the process of evaluating her purpose, calling, and spiritual walk. As a result, Shannon reconnected with her heart’s desire—to serve others by sharing his great love, grace, and mercy. Shannon resides in Niceville, Florida, where she is an active member of Crosspoint Church, serving with various ministries and life groups.
