Kathy Hetzler

As a One Mission Society missionary, Kathy Hetzler will participate in and lead various short-term trips. She will provide training in Train & Multiply (T&M), Community Health Evangelism (CHE, sometimes known as Community Health Education), and other holistic ministries used by Every Community for Christ to enhance church multiplication among OMS partners around the world. She will help people around the world become proficient in using T&M and CHE to express the love of Christ, make disciples of Jesus, and plant multiplying churches, resulting in improved spiritual, emotional, and physical health.

Kathy has been a nurse educator for the last 14 years. She is a board certified advanced practice nurse in community/public health and an oncology certified nurse, and she earned her doctorate of nursing practice in 2013. In 2009, Kathy took her first mission trip to Dominican Republic and continues serving in missions. She has a passion to share God’s love and his Word with people. Since her first mission trip, she has lead several trips with university students to Belize, Dominican Republic, and Ecuador.

Kathy loves Community Health Evangelism (CHE) and is a CHE trainer. CHE empowers communities to embrace health and wellness. Through the OMS ministries of Every Community for Christ and Dynamic Women in Missions, her passion is to empower and equip communities around the world to improve their own health and wellness. Kathy volunteers at a community center, providing health education to the community and cooking classes for families. She is also a faith community nurse (FCN) and teaches others to be FCNs.

Kathy’s hobbies include gardening, scrapbooking, tole painting, and sewing. She loves to share her time with friends and family.
