Dick Freed

Rev. Dick Freed serves as director of Global Training Solutions for One Mission Society. The Global Training Solutions team assists all elements of the worldwide OMS network achieve their desired outcomes by providing a range of training-related services, resources, and relationships. He also serves as an associate church multiplication facilitator and regional theological education consultant, working with the seminaries and Bible schools of the Evangelical Church of India (ECI).

Dick is a graduate of Asbury University and the University of Kentucky. He has taught courses in English composition and literature, world civilizations, and comparative religion at colleges and universities in Kentucky, Ohio, New York, and Michigan.

Prior to serving with OMS, Dick served in pastoral ministry with the Free Methodist Church during which time he also wrote for the denomination’s Light and Life Magazine. Dick has led or served as a consultant in organizational leadership and training with a number of nonprofit human service organizations and is an executive fellow with WiLD Leaders, focusing on whole intentional leader development.

Dick’s wife Sharon serves as children’s ministries and mobilization pastor at Waypoint Free Methodist Church in Clarkston, Michigan. Their son, Adam and his wife Emily live in Grass Lake, Michigan. Adam is director of Global Engagement for the School of Information at the University of Michigan, and Emily serves as associate director for Ministry Advancement with The Set Free Movement, mobilizing churches and communities around the world to prevent and combat human trafficking.
