Sara Hill
Missionary Account: #802754Sara serves as the training coordinator in OMS USA's Human Resources Department, where she coordinates the development and facilitates training programs for missionary candidates and staff. She is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to their ministry preparation, professional development, and to support the organization’s mission. Sara’s hope is that every missionary candidate and staff member will feel equipped and empowered for their ministry, whether serving at OMS Headquarters or on the field.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in history from Indiana University in 2014, Sara completed a master’s degree in human services counseling at Liberty University in 2016, with a focus on trauma and crisis response.
Sara spent several years working in higher education, focusing on student compliance and administration. In 2022, after much prayer and seeking God’s direction, she felt called by her faith to pursue her passion for global missions. Trusting in God’s guidance, Sara transitioned into this ministry-focused role, believing her experiences were uniquely given to her to make a meaningful impact at One Mission Society.
Sara has been married to her husband, Matthew, since December 2016. They have a ‘fur-baby,’ Georgia, who loves to sit in their windows soaking up the sun. Alongside their family life, both Sara and Matt participate in short-term mission trip teams with One Mission Society and their church.
In her off time, you can find Sara at a coffee shop reading, watching a Chelsea FC match, or seeking out some sunshine.
Sara’s favorite verse is 1 Corinthians 16:14: “Do everything in love.” She strives to keep love at the center of all she does, remaining focused on Christ and His mission. Guided by this verse, Sara aims to support and encourage missionary candidates with compassion throughout their ministry preparation, walking alongside them with a Christ-centered approach rooted in love.
