Liz, a servant of Jesus Christ, chosen by God to be a homeland missionary for One Mission Society (OMS) will assist the director of World Intercessors in praying and interceding for the missionaries of OMS serving around the globe.

As the Apostle Paul stated in his letter to the Ephesian church, prayer and intercession cannot be accomplished without the Holy Spirit. It demands watchfulness, persistence, and supplication at all times for God’s people. Therefore, I have answered this sacred call to serve at OMS with humility and grace.

Having served in the mission field, I have witnessed countless transformations through the power of the Gospel message. But I have also experienced the spiritual warfare that accompanies this sacred work. Paul understood that he needed the saints to pray for him so that he could preach the Gospel with boldness (Eph.6:19). There is no question that prayer and intercession are essential for helping missionaries advance the Gospel, and God has invited me to serve under the leadership of the director of World Intercessors so that the Good News may continue to spread throughout the nations.

As the assistant to the director of World Intercessors, I will assist with communicating urgent prayer needs, maintaining prayer communications while the director is traveling and help organize prayer coverage for special events. In addition, I will be tasked with helping to recruit and train volunteers for Home Front Prayer teams, and, at the discretion of the director, travel on prayer teams when needed.

"With all prayer and petition pray [with specific requests] at all times [on every occasion and in every season] in the Spirit, and with this in view, stay alert with all perseverance and petition [interceding in prayer] for all God’s people. And pray for me, that words may be given to me when I open my mouth, to proclaim boldly the mystery of the good news [of salvation].” -Ephesians 6:18-19 AMP
