Regional Team Building and Equipping

Missionaries face diverse stresses and challenges as they serve on the field. The constant pressure of ministry is compounded by their desire to be fruitful for the Lord and by the necessity of serving in a different culture.  

Regional retreats for field missionaries will provide an environment for spiritual renewal, team building, strategic planning, and training. The connection, rest, and encouragement provided by the interaction at retreats will promote longevity among our missionary team.

Regional retreats are an effective means of developing and supporting our missionaries by facilitating a genuine sense of what it means to be on a team and part of a team culture. The retreats will make a significant contribution to ministry effectiveness and missionary retention, particularly among younger missionaries. For this reason, they will prove to be an excellent investment. 

The budget goal for this project is $146,000.

We believe that investment in the spiritual and mental health of field missionaries through regional retreats will prove to be a wise use of resources. Field missionaries must be equipped, cared for, encouraged, and trained on a regular basis. Hosting regional retreats in a relaxed setting will be conducive to spiritual reflection, renewal, and unity among missionaries. Regional retreats will foster the development of healthy teams and support the overall strategic plan for One Mission Society.
