John (Jay) Allen

About 10 years ago, God seeded a desire in Jay to eventually conclude his professional career in Human Resources and transition to fulltime ministry work.

In 2016, after a one-week evangelism trip to Barranquilla, Colombia, God sprouted this seed into a desire to do cross-cultural work. This led to several other one-week ministry trips to Latin America, doing local street evangelism, teaching ESL, and strengthening his Spanish. Now, this sprout has more fully grown into a call to do ministry work fulltime in Colombia.

Jay has three wonderful children and is from the Houston, Texas, area. Over the years, he has developed friendships with and ministered to many immigrating from Colombia, Venezuela, and other Latin American countries now in the West Houston area.

Jay will be working as the OMS church multiplication facilitator (CMF) in Colombia. He will be serving as the key partner between OMS and our Colombian ministry partners, encouraging, coaching, and helping cast vision with leaders. As well, he will be, in a sense coming full-circle, leading one-week evangelism trips for teams that visit Colombia. Jay, the national partners, and his ministry supporters are sharing Christ, planting churches, and multiplying disciples so every individual in Colombia hears the Gospel of Jesus.
