Urban Ministry
Get Started
The Latin America region has a vision to transform lives through dynamic communities. You'll serve in your area of focus while being part of localized summer ministry experiences. You'll also be poured into by a team of missionaries as you learn more about your gifts and passions. Our hope for this experience is that you will grow in your relationship with God, expand your skill set, be more prepared to disciple people from other cultures, and perhaps discern a long-term call to missions and ministry.
You will work together as a team in Medellín, Colombia, serving alongside OMS ministry partners including Prison Fellowship, an international seminary, and a potential short-term mission team that visits from the US and Canada. Your involvement will encompass a variety of meaningful activities, including—but not limited to—helping lead a dynamic and engaging English camp for high school and university students, visiting prisons and connecting with families of incarcerated individuals, sharing Bible stories and interactive activities with at-risk children affected by poverty or incarceration, and participating in purposeful recreational outreach. These may include evangelism and discipleship opportunities, city-based field trips, educational support, and other impactful initiatives.
During your time with Embark, you will serve with One Mission Society, build relationships with youth and young adults, receive mentorship from experienced missionaries, work alongside a team of other like-minded OMS interns, expand and hone your skill set, and grow in your ministry approach to evangelism, discipleship, missions, and communicating your testimony.
Application Deadline: January 15, 2026
