Doug and Cindy Tankersley

Start a Campaign Send a Note

As executive global director of Men for Missions (a ministry of One Mission Society), Doug supports the expansion of Men for Missions ministries around the world. Together, Doug and Cindy are passionate about building relationships and encouraging laymen to Do, Go, and Give in total obedience to Jesus Christ.

OMS accepted Doug and Cindy as missionary candidates to Ecuador in 2004. They returned to the U.S. in 2010 to serve as regional directors with Men for Missions, promoting, preparing, and leading short-term mission teams into multiple countries. This opened the door for them to live in Colombia for several years, hosting short-term evangelism teams to help train national workers to saturate Colombia with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In 2018, they began serving as regional directors for Latin America, helping to expand MFM ministries throughout the region.

Doug was first introduced to overseas missions through his Christian boss. After his first short-term trip to Guatemala in 2001, he recognized God’s calling to serve in full-time missions. During a mission conference in 2004, Cindy also responded to God’s call to serve in full-time missions. Together, they surrendered their will for his will.

Prior to joining One Mission Society, Doug and Cindy had served the Lord since 1990 in various capacities while raising their sons and working in the business world. However, serving in their local missions-minded church helped them develop a deeply rooted passion for missions. They were involved in mission conferences, supporting missionaries, leading and participating in short-term mission trips, and developing a mission program for elementary-aged children.

Doug and Cindy reside in Greenwood, Indiana. They have two grown sons: David, married to Erin, and Jonathan married to Angelique. They also have three grandsons.
