Carol began her career at One Mission Society (OMS) in June 1984 as a secretary in the Field Ministries office (now Global Ministries). She temporarily served in both the U.S. regional office and the donor records office during that time.

In April 1994, she transferred to support development as a secretary. She soon assumed the role of administrative assistant to the VP of Human Resources.

In July 1994, Carol was a member of the first summer English Camp in Hungary, a newly opened ministry field. She was drawn to Hungary as her mother was a Hungarian emigree, and she was curious about her heritage. She returned the following summer and stayed for both English camps. While there, Carol heard God’s call to return as a field missionary.

In May 1996, she transferred back to Global Ministries, followed by a transfer in December to U.S. Ministries to set up a resource pool and cross-train staff in prayer letters, donor records, and editing.

Carol was accepted to the Hungary field in October 1997 and, after obtaining full funding, began her career in Hungary in April 1998 as a field secretary and in the evangelism and discipleship ministries.

In December 2002, Carol began a Home Ministry Assignment, but due to medical concerns, she did not return to Hungary. She worked in the editorial department and as a home office assistant to President and First Lady Emeritus JB and Bette Crouse.

Carol left OMS in October 2005 to help care for her parents during their remaining years. She returned in January 2014 to assist in Finance with online donation processing and in Every Community for Christ as an editorial assistant. In December 2016, she transferred to Finance full-time, remaining there until July 2021, when she retired.

During Carol’s 37 years of service, she served as a fill-in for the President’s assistant, the switchboard, the mailroom, and the printing office.
