Troy and Jenny Gentry

Troy and Jenny Gentry first received a calling to serve God in Mexico in 1999, while still in college. They were accepted by One Mission Society and appointed to Mexico City in 2007. The family began their missionary service in Mexico City in 2013 following a year of language study in Costa Rica.

Troy is the rector at the OMS-related Biblical Seminary of Mexico (SEMBIMEX), providing leadership to the seminary, as well as teaching classes. He also serves as the OMS Mexico field director. Jenny is the field hostess, preparing the guest apartment for visiting guests and teams, as well as providing care to guests during their stay in Mexico. As needed, she also assists Troy with various administrative duties. Finally, she is beginning an English club for those who want to practice their existing English skills in a relaxed setting outside of the classroom.

The Gentrys have four adult children. Tayler and Clayton are 2023 graduates of Barclay College and are now teaching in international schools in Latin America. Tori and Cody are both college students at Barclay College, studying psychology and youth ministries, respectively.
