Academic Dean of Seminary

The academic dean will oversee the academic programs of the Biblical Seminary of Mexico (SEMBIMEX). These programs include advanced, intermediate, and basic levels of training for national leadership. SEMBIMEX strives to be a dynamic seminary that meets the educational needs of a diverse national church. This environment gives the dean the opportunity to think outside the box and be creative in the seminary’s educational offerings.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the implementation of the Seminary's curriculum. Oversee periodic curriculum evaluations and revisions as needed.
• Oversee and evaluate faculty and professors. Assist in their continued professional development.
• Assist in developing and reviewing academic policies and procedures.
• Assist in strategic planning and institutional development for the Seminary.
• Play a key role in the development and mentoring of the student body.

Requirements:

• Ability to fluently speak, write, and teach in Spanish.
• Has ministerial experience in related areas of teaching.
• Affirms and actively supports the institution’s statement of faith.
• Holds a master's degree for undergraduate teaching, or a doctoral degree for teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Demonstrates strong pedagogical ability.
• Capable of fostering creativity and innovation in their classes.
• Exhibits pastoral wisdom and intercultural sensitivity.
• Integrates knowledge across disciplines.
• Is willing to participate actively in the spiritual and communal life of the seminary.

This is a support-based position that involves raising financial support through ministry partners for salary and other expenses.
