Mozambique Disaster Relief
Project Account: #402600Disasters are not uncommon in Mozambique. From the floods of 2000 to the cyclones and devastating floods in central Mozambique in 2019, and now, the latest challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
A major challenge is that the Mozambican government has closed all churches and imposed difficult restrictions to permit these poor and rural churches to reopen. As of the end of September, only 5 percent of the churches are able to meet together. The majority just do not have the financial means to comply.
Your special gift will go toward helping churches comply with the government-imposed restrictions, which includes purchasing sensor thermometers, hand sanitizer, and improving sanitary conditions (bathrooms) at each church location, giving them the opportunity for the church to open again.
