Jonathan and Holly Brower

Jon and Holly Brower have followed God’s call to Medellin, Colombia.

Holly uses her experience and education to develop healthy, effective leaders and teams throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Jon uses his experience, education, and talents as the social entrepreneurship specialist. He works closely with the local prison ministry, reaching prisoners and their families across the district (state). He develops business skills with men and women who give their heart to Jesus while incarcerated and who seek to follow God in a healthy way when they are released back into the community.

Jon and Holly are invested in learning the heart language of the people, Spanish, at this early point in their ministry. They are inspired by God’s call to raise up leaders who will share Christ and make disciples with their own people. They are overjoyed to witness new brothers and sisters who find Jesus as their Lord and Savior. They work to equip these local believers to know God better and love him more so they can effectively develop other believers and fulfill Christ’s Great Commission. Their desire is to be part of what God is doing to reach all people groups with the Gospel and to make disciples of all the nations.

Holly travels throughout Latin America, ministering to other missionaries and partner organizations who are struggling with team dynamics, strategy, or effective governance. She hopes to be a catalyst in a missionary movement from Colombia to the nations.

Jon holds his M.Div. from Denver Seminary. He has served as a youth minister, minister of Christian education, and most recently as an expert in lean manufacturing/Toyota Production System.

Holly holds a Ph.D. in organizational behavior from Purdue University. She has been on the faculty of Butler University and her alma mater, Wake Forest University, for more than 20 years. Prior to earning her doctorate, she served with Youth For Christ, as well as leading a number of other non-profit organizations.

Before coming to One Mission Society, the Browers were involved in many ministries, including ministry to the homeless, jail ministries, youth and children, as well as adult Bible studies.
