Ruth Hunter
Missionary Account: #803141Answering God’s call to full-time missions, Ruth Hunter joined OMS in August 1983 to serve at the One Mission Society World Headquarters.
She has appeared as Happy the Clown when ministering to children in churches, conferences and camps.
Ruth continued her studies at University of Oregon Medical School of Nursing and Portland State College. Before coming to OMS, Ruth served for ten years in the personnel and payroll departments of the University of Oregon Medical School.
Ruth found great satisfaction in knowing God had gifted her for the ministries at OMS Headquarters.
Ruth has two children, April and Randy. April and her husband Jonathan live in Nashua, New Hampshire. Randy and his wife Abby reside in Fishers, Indiana. Ruth is blessed with five grandchildren.
Ruth enjoys teaching children about Jesus and telling them that they can be missionaries wherever they are. Making crafts and reading good books are favorite hobbies of Ruth.
One Mission Society is an evangelical, interdenominational faith mission that makes disciples of Jesus Christ through intentional evangelism, planting churches and training national leaders in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe and Latin America. OMS then joins with those churches in global partnerships to reach the rest of the world.
