Theological Education

As the church grows exponentially in the majority world, so, too, grows the need for Christ-like leaders. Through teaching, mentoring, coaching, and consulting, OMS Theological Education serves the global church by raising up Spirit-led and biblically astute disciple-makers whose lives reflect God’s holiness.

We do this primarily through strategic partnerships with Bible colleges, seminaries, and ministry training institutes around the world and by equipping national partners and missionaries. Through the mobilization of highly experienced theological education consultants, we encourage, support, and assist our partners to reach optimal effectiveness in fulfilling their institutional missions, using best practices in theological education. We also mobilize academically credentialed TE fellows to serve at partner schools as faculty and consultants.

Ministry Objectives

The primary ministry objective of Theological Education is to serve the global church by equipping its people to multiply disciples and healthy churches in the Wesleyan Holiness tradition.

We do this through:               

• Mobilization of theological education consultants to guide, support, and assist executive leadership and faculty at partner schools in best practices for theological education and broader leadership and discipleship development.
• Mobilization of TE fellows to partner with Bible colleges, seminaries, and ministry training institutes to serve them in fulfilling the God-given mission of the institution.
• Developing, designing, and implementing leadership and discipleship-development training programs for both our international partners and OMS missionaries.
• Connecting our international partners and OMS missionaries to other training partners and resources.

GET INVOLVED

How can YOU get involved in theological education?

• ENROLL in a theological course or degree program. We encourage life-long learning for both personal and professional development.
• GIVE toward training materials and scholarships for Bible students.
• PRAY for the administration, faculty, and students involved in one of our schools around the world.
• ASK the Lord to raise up more workers for the harvest field in a particular country.
• GO and TRAIN new believers for ministry.
