Should We Still Send Western Missionaries?
Account: #
BY: OMS
Some mature believers have determined that it is no longer wise to send Western missionaries into an increasingly globalized world/church. However, the church in the Global South still needs and wants the church in the U.S. and vice versa. Without personal connections and relationships, the global church becomes impoverished.
The Great Commission is for God’s people everywhere; there is no condition that releases any believer from going or sending. We must collaborate well?with to the Holy Spirit, with cross-cultural workers, with nationals from the Global South, and with each other—for the greatest kingdom impact.
Jesus instructed his disciples to pray: “Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field” (Matthew 9:38 NIV). We want to partner with you to raise up and send your workers into God’s harvest field.
Would you consider partnering with OMS to send people to the nations?
