Nube Vogan, an OMS UK missionary serving in Ecuador, is a living testament to God’s sufficient grace.
Growing up in what Nube described as “the poorest place in the world,” high in the Andes Mountains, she couldn’t see a way out of that life. Her hope seemed fleeting, but in the middle of that darkness, God was already at work—calling her, rescuing her, and writing a new story.
That story took a new turn when Nube met Mark Vogan in Ecuador. After completing missionary training in the U.K., Mark returned to Ecuador, and the two got married, starting their ministry together.
From the beginning, their shared calling has led them into a wide variety of ministry work, including radio ministry, children’s ministry, church planting, and women’s ministry. Today, Nube trains and disciples women in Loja City, Ecuador, while leading a church planting team alongside Mark.
“To me, it's an honor and blessing to be a part of the OMS family,” Nube remarked while speaking in chapel at OMS HQ.
Though she once saw no way out of poverty, Nube now sees God’s fingerprints all over her life. She gives all credit to the Lord for what he has done in and through her.
“Grace upon grace [is] to see God’s grace, God’s glory, and all his splendor,” Nube said.
