Training & Organizational Development Intern

Serve alongside our HR Department as a Training & Organizational Development Intern. You'll get to use your organizational and administrative skills to support our team as they facilitate training for OMS candidates and personnel.

The OMS internship program is carefully designed to deepen your understanding of God’s heart for the nations and how we can make a lasting impact on the world through Christ. We are seeking Christ-centered individuals who are eager to use their God-given gifts, grow in their faith, and make Jesus known among the nations.

• Assist in planning and facilitating organizational orientation for new staff and missionary candidates. 
• Help prepare, organize, and refine training materials and coaching resources used with missionary candidates and staff. 
• Support facilitation of tools utilized for professional and organizational development. 
• Help track and organize training participation, feedback, and outcome data to inform program effectiveness and suggest improvements. 
• Observe and, as appropriate, assist with onboarding and coaching conversations alongside Pre-Field Coaches. 
• Contribute to special projects that strengthen onboarding, orientation, and staff development processes. 
• Assist in implementation of feedback in candidate processes and updating related materials and documentation. 
• Assist with logistical support for live and virtual training events. 
• Assist with evaluation of current training resources, engagement, and effectiveness. 

• Coursework in Organizational Psychology and/or Development, Human Resources, Nonprofit Leadership, Training, or related fields. 
• Exposure to coursework in leadership and personnel development. 
• Familiarity with team and/or personality assessment tools. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Teams and SharePoint. Beneficial to have experience with Zoom and Trello.
  
• Demonstrated interest in training, coaching, or organizational health & development. 
• Junior or senior interested in careers in organizational health, workforce development & training, executive/team coaching, or HR. 
• Heart for missions and cross-cultural ministry. 
• An interest in training, individual development, and team health to support cross-cultural ministry.  
• Teachable, relational, and detail-oriented; comfortable both behind the scenes and in front of a group. 

• Dates: May 17 - July 23, 2027
• Location: OMS Headquarters in Greenwood, Indiana
• Hours per week: 40
• Compensation: $10 an hour
• Housing: Included at OMS Headquarters
