One Mission Society creates, edits, and proofreads many different types of written material for our publications, website, promotional brochures, and much more. If you love to write, we have opportunities to write stories every week for the OMS blog and other ministry sites, as well.

Specific duties may include writing blogs; articles for Outreach magazine; working on materials (graphics, content and video) for President’s Gatherings and International Conferences; designing, writing, shooting videos for Billion.Global, new OMS promotional material, etc.


  • Writing, editing, proofreading, interviewing, digital and print publishing
  • Write about God at work through the many missionaries and ministries of OMS
  • Working collaboratively with other departments to develop collateral material
  • Be able to work remotely as needed


  • Committed follower of Jesus Christ
  • Background, education, training, or experience in Journalism, Creative Writing, Communications, or related areas
  • Excellent communications skills 
  • Accustomed to working within deadlines
  • Entering junior or senior year of college, or post-graduate student


  • Dates: May 21 - July 14, 2023
  • Location: OMS Headquarters in Greenwood, Indiana
  • Hours per week: 40
  • Compensation: $10 an hour
  • Housing: Included at OMS Headquarters
  • Application deadline: February 17, 2023

Optional: Short-term Mission Trip

Interns have the option to take a short-term mission trip after the conclusion of their paid internship. This is an incredible opportunity to visit an OMS field and serve alongside an OMS missionary team for 7-10 days. Expenses for this trip must be raised by the intern; this trip is not paid for by One Mission Society.
