At One Mission Society, we love to tell stories of lives changed and communities transformed. As a Journalism Intern, you may have the opportunity to help create, edit, and proofread a variety of written and digital materials, including our publications, website content, promotional brochures, video scripts, and more.
If storytelling is your calling, you may also get to write fresh stories for the OMS blog and other ministry sites, sharing real impact with readers around the world.
The OMS internship program is carefully designed to deepen your understanding of God’s heart for the nations and how we can make a lasting impact on the world through Christ. We are seeking Christ-centered individuals who are eager to use their God-given gifts, grow in their faith, and make Jesus known among the nations.Responsibilities
- Writing, editing, proofreading, interviewing, digital and print publishing.
- Write about God at work through the many missionaries and ministries of OMS.
- Working collaboratively with other departments to develop collateral material.
- Be able to work remotely as needed.
- Committed follower of Jesus Christ
- Background, education, training, or experience in journalism, creative writing, communications, or related areas
- Excellent communications skills
- Accustomed to working within deadlines
- Entering junior or senior year of college or post-graduate student
- Dates: May 17 - July 23, 2027
- Location: OMS Headquarters in Greenwood, Indiana
- Hours per week: 40
- Compensation: $10 an hour
- Housing: Included at OMS Headquarters
- Application deadline: January 15, 2027
Interns have the option to take a short-term mission trip during their paid internship. This is an incredible opportunity to visit an OMS field and serve alongside an OMS missionary team for 7-10 days. Expenses for this trip must be raised by the intern; this trip is not paid for by One Mission Society.
