  • Africa

    Church Multiplication Facilitator (critical need)

    Is your passion coming alongside others and encouraging them to reach the goals they’ve set? Do you like to provide training and facilitate learning? Do you desire to see national church planters and pastors grow in depth and see the Lord multiply churches throughout the world? Use your gifts to come alongside national pastors and encourage and hold them accountable to the plans and goals. Join Every Community for Christ, the church multiplication ministry of OMS, as a church multiplication facilitator.

    While continuing to live in your home country, you will travel to multiple countries in Africa three to four times per year to promote church multiplication. While at home, your role will be to support the ECC ministry in your assigned country or countries through prayer, follow-up visits and preparation for the next visit.

    Discipleship

    Partner with a local church to work with ethnic minorities, asylum seekers, and refugees through conversational classes and discipleship.

    School Librarian (critical need)

    Serve in a school library that needs updating. Adopt newer technologies in the library and branch out into more digital and online media and resources so that the library becomes a vibrant resource for teachers, students and the community to use. Assist in the transition and oversee library staff. Might also have the opportunity to teach in other areas if interested.

    Are you a dynamic individual with a heart for students? Teach middle to upper elementary students at an international school in Asia. Experience is ideal but not necessary.     We are looking for an inspiring teacher to teach junior high English here at an MK school in Asia. Ideally they will have some experience in teaching students for whom English is not their first language as students fall into this category. The teacher we are looking for will be able to use a variety of methods in the classroom to inspire the students to think critically about what they are learning. They will also be expected to be involved in the different activities of the school.

    Communication and Training Intern

    Prepare missionaries to serve around the world by equipping the OMS Australia team to offer orientation and cross-cultural training. Collaborate with experienced OMS missionaries and trainers, explore current materials, and learn what Australian missionaries need to be properly prepared to serve.

    Journalism Intern

    Are you passionate about sharing what God is doing around the world? Use your writing skills to share stories of how God is using One Mission Society missionaries and ministries to transform lives. Conduct interviews to learn what's happening in various countries, and turn this research into information for the OMS Australia office and stories for the broader audience. Gain journalism and cross-cultural experience as you learn how God is using ordinary people to make an impact for His kingdom.

    Social Media Intern

    Every Community for Christ (ECC) is the church multiplication catalyst of One Mission Society. For two years, God has used ECC to plant and multiply healthy churches among Australians and immigrant populations. Use your social media expertise to expand the online presence of ECC. Develop and carry out a social media plan, including new ideas for growing ECC's social media presence and an updated website. This internship would be a great fit for an individual with a heart for church planting and multiplication and discipleship.

    District Liaison

    Partner with existing church associations to develop the ministry of the local church and encourage established churches to plant new churches cell groups, or house churches in new areas. Work within existing churches throughout one of five open districts by conducting regular visits, encouraging pastors and congregations, and facilitating the ministry of missionaries within the district and working with the district superintendents.

    MK Education Coordinator (critical need)

    Assist homeschool families with testing, monitoring, and gathering information to ensure that all the kids are up to date and advancing. This individual will need to work with various states and their regulations. Activities include mentoring families, overseeing learning progress reporting, providing accountability and recommendations, assisting parents in selecting curriculum, and helping with standardized testing. This role would involve traveling to Ecuador at least once a year to visit and encourage kids and parents.

    Ideally, this individual would also coordinate a 1-2 week homeschool camp including a variety of extracurricular classes including science, art, music, etc.

    Impact the lives of missionary kids, international families and Mozambicans by serving as the Director of this K-12 school of about 120 students. Work alongside current administrators to move this school into a new accreditation phase.

    Youth Ministry

    Come be part of God working in the lives of young Mozambicans! Chosen Generation (1 Peter 2:9) is an OMS ministry serving the community of Bedene in Machava, Mozambique. The ministry serves more than 100 Mozambican children and young adults who come to the OMS compound two afternoons per week for Bible stories, kids’ games, and soccer training. The program is also developing leaders as Mozambican youth serve and lead in Chosen Generation. If you have a call to ministry among African children and young people and want to join us, we have opportunities for short and long-term assignments including sports, ESL, and leading games. It´s amazing to see how God is working in the lives of these children and we believe they are a Chosen Generation as it says in 1 Peter 2:9.

    Helping Hands Compassionate Outreach

    Helping Hands is a ministry to mobilize the church in Mozambique to compassionately reach out to those with disabilities. There are varied opportunities for those called to ministry among individuals with special needs including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nutritionists and others with skills and interest in sign language/Makaton. We are also seeking people with practical/technical abilities to support the fabrication and maintenance of wheelchairs and other mobility aids.

    Our seminary in Maputo is an interdenominational Bible school offering bachelor's and intermediate level programs to serve the body of Christ in Mozambique. The director is responsible for all aspects of the daily life and vision of this young, growing and exciting institution.

    Teacher

    Teach at an international school in Maputo, Mozambique. Christian Academy in Mozambique (CAM) is a K-12 school made up of more than 100 students from many different countries and continents.     Classes are taught in English, and CAM runs on an American school calendar year. Travel incentives are available for two-year commitments.

    ESL Ministry

    Begin an ESL program in Mozambique to teach English to high school students. There is a strong desire among high school students to learn English but there isn’t currently a program in place, so this role involves developing and running an ESL program.

    The placement would begin in Maputo with the OMS team to learn Portuguese, Mozambican culture, and how to effectively teach in the culture. The candidate(s) would make planned trips during the first year to Quisico in preparation for a transition to live there and establish this ministry.

    Human Trafficking Prevention Trainer (critical need)

    Do you have a passion to prevent human trafficking? Conduct HOPE61 training and follow-up so that local believers are equipped to engage vulnerable people in their communities and reduce their vulnerability to becoming involved in trafficking. HOPE61 focuses on preventing trafficking through culturally-appropriate methods of intentional evangelism and continuing discipleship. HOPE61 trainers work alongside national church denominations and other partners around the world.

    Opportunities include countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Serve as a residential missionary for two or more years, or as an itinerating missionary traveling 1-4 times a year.

Opportunities are available in Asia, Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe.

    The ACMF is a part-time role, working under the authority of the Church Multiplication Facilitator (CMF) for your assigned country. While continuing to live in your home country, you will travel to your assigned country or countries one to two times per year to assist the CMF in promoting church multiplication. While at home, your role will be to support the ECC ministry in your assigned country or countries through prayer, follow-up visits and preparation for the next visit.

    Fulfill the English language requirements for students in the Mission Department and in practical English for other majors at Seoul Theological University.     Adventures in English Language Guide - Summer 2017

    Serve as an English Language Guide in South Korea in July of 2017. Adventures in English (AIE) is a two-week intensive English camp that primarily serves Korean seminary students and pastors, as well as young adults. Guide students in English through worship, outreach, Bible study, and cultural understanding. Build cross-cultural friendships with Korean Christians as you help them grow in their English ability. A week of orientation is included in this opportunity to learn about Korean culture and how to teach English to Korean students. An optional week before the orientation begins involves teaching English to refugees in South Korea.

    English Worship and Teaching Pastor

    Lead an English worship service for a church in Seoul, including preaching and leading worship. Opportunities to conduct Bible studies may be available as well. This ministry would primarily take place on weekends, so this person would be involved in other ministries during the week. Depending on the church, a monthly stipend may be provided.

    Camp Staff (critical need)

    Serve as part of the camp staff at Rock of Horeb, a camping ministry located about an hour northeast of Madrid, Spain.
