Many Africans (and elsewhere in the world) have limited awareness of the Islam religion or how to engage Muslims relationally. This training helps to close that gap.

According to UNESCO, 37 percent of sub-Saharan women are illiterate, and the percentage is higher in villages. VCP partners with humanitarian agencies to provide literacy training. Learning to read and do simple math strengthens individuals, families, churches, and communities.

Teams from the U.S. train nationals (who then train their countrymen) to load microSD cards into all types of phones and to then share files and use the content for evangelism and discipleship activities. 

The West Africa Missionary Movements initiative builds upon OMS' extensive ministry in central and southern Africa by mobilizing believers from these areas to move north and evangelize least-reached areas of the continent.

OMS is building a coalition of relationships and partnerships with like-minded African denominations, indigenous missions agencies, and other organizations in order to help send out African missionaries. Those sent will be motivated, mobilized, and equipped to make disciples and plant simple churches through near-culture and cross-cultural missionary work.
