DWIM Media Coordinator and Web Content Manager

Use your gifts and abilities to serve as a Social Media & Web Content Manager with Dynamic Women in Missions (DWIM)!

This position has 2 distinct assignments:

  • Media Coordinator: A professional, who is familiar with both the complexities of the English language and technology. This person will strive to build our DWIM presence through Media and Social Network channels.
  • Web and Social Media Content Manager: Will focus on updating the website by providing new content and improving old content. Needs to be familiar with basic design principles to maintain a professional appearance on the website while being aware of emerging technological trends. Assist other members of Dynamic Women in Mission who may be less familiar with these technologies to provide a smooth implementation of new and old systems.


Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of education and/or experience related to communications, writing, and social media
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or equivalent preferable or prior experience with computer programs or willingness to learn computer coding
  • Computer Skills including Adobe suite, Wix - Web Design, Facebook, Instagram, and popular social media platforms
  • Self-starter
  • Passion for storytelling
  • Experience with a variety of social media platforms
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of world missions, evangelism, church planting, training of leaders, and general OMS knowledge preferred but not necessary.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with and influence all levels of DWIM, including OMS, other ministries, constituents, and cross-cultural partners
  • Multi-languages are a plus

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In cooperation with the OMS communications department, work to build DW’s presence through social network channels
  • Lead and coordinate best practices for social media including but not limited to video blogs, and other social media venues
  • Track social media influencers
  • Ensure consistency of message across multiple networks
  • Media Essential Duties:
    • Ensure that the social media platforms are updated daily, and that the DWIM blog has a weekly post
    • Create effective, timely, frequent, and compelling posts for the DWIM Facebook, Instagram, and DWIM Resources pages, including content, pictures, videos, and links to related DW stories and resources
    • In consultation with the Director of Dynamic Women in Missions, develop and fulfill measurable goals related to readership and response to digital media content.
    • Develop reliable sources in the world of DWIM/OMS to help provide content for new stories, and devotions. Sources may include OMS missionaries, DDW volunteers, ECC national coordinators and trainers, etc.
    • Continually research new technologies and their practicality for the purposes of DWIM
    • Ensure the DWIM Resources site and Social Media venue pages promote a common look, avoiding identity confusion and brand standards
    • Help DWIM personnel not familiar with technology
    • Constant review of all DWIM social media sites to ensure sites are running smoothly
    • Other responsibilities as needed
    • Create annual, bi-annual, and other misc. campaigns, that promote DWIM’s ministries

Additional Details:

  • This is a support-based position that involves raising financial support through ministry partners for salary and other expenses.
  • This role can be remote or located at One Mission Society's headquarters in Greenwood, Indiana.
