VIRTUAL LUNCH AND LEARN
Month 00, 2026
What if “missions” wasn’t just another responsibility to carry—but a joy to share?
Starting on the second Thursday of the month, join us for a time of prayer, connection, and learning. This lunch-and-learn series invites pastors and lay leaders to rediscover God’s mission as the center of church life and the source of sustainable leadership. Come for practical wisdom, honest conversation, and the reminder that we’re joining what God is already doing.
The series is based on the book Missiology for Missions Pastors, edited by Bradley Bell and Ted Esler. It’s not just for mission pastors, or even pastors. All are welcome to (re)discover the joy of engaging in the Great Commission.

SENDING CHURCH
April 28–30, 2026 & September 29–October 1, 2026
Explore Partnering With OMS to Fulfill the Great Commission.
The Sending Church Gathering is an opportunity for you to learn more about how OMS partners with churches to send well. After arriving at our Greenwood, Indiana, World Headquarters campus on the afternoon of the first day, OMS will provide meals and accommodations until departure around noon on the final day. You’ll have a chance to meet OMS leaders and learn about our ministries. Senior pastors, mission staff, lay leaders, and those sensing a call to be sent are all welcome to attend.
Last year, Rev. Dr. Rebecca Collison, senior pastor of Mariners Bethel Global Methodist Church in Ocean View, Delaware, attended after seeing the event advertised through her conference. Though her church was not previously connected with OMS, she and lay leader Diana Briselli came because God had been stirring in them a vision for sending.
Pastor Rebecca shared, “The OMS Sending Church Gathering changed the way I looked at missions and my role in the Great Commission. As a pastor of 20+ years, this event impacted me more in two days than any other seminary class or workshop that I’ve ever attended. This is a not-to-miss opportunity for anyone wanting to hear God speak to them in a powerful way about his love for the world.”

PERSPECTIVES
August 2–7, 2026
Perspectives is a 15-lesson course that has equipped believers for God’s global purpose for more than 50 years. It’s not just about missions; it’s about discipleship. It’s a mobilization tool where attendees end up being more involved in their local congregations, increase their giving, and are inspired to become active participants in God’s global purpose.
Last year, we had several pastors who wished they had this class as part of their seminary training. We also had a few people who were exploring a call to missions. A few homeschool students were part of the class, as well as people just interested in the topic.
Usually, the class takes more than 15 weeks; however, this can be challenging for those in ministry leadership. The Intensive format provides the same 15 lessons in one week. Coursework is completed both before and after the class at home.
If finances are an issue, please reach out to us for scholarship information.

FIELD VISIT MISSIONS TRIPS
Multiple Dates
Explore Partnering With OMS to Fulfill the Great Commission.
Field visit mission trips give church leaders a firsthand look at what God is doing through OMS around the world—encountering disciple-making ministries, meeting missionaries and national partners, and experiencing God’s work through another cultural context. The trips are designed for senior pastors and key church leaders, including mission pastors, mission team members, or even those exploring a call to go. These trips create space for leaders to reconnect with their own calling, gain a fresh perspective, and discern how their churches can more faithfully engage in global missions. By witnessing ministry on the field, participants return feeling encouraged, informed, and better equipped to lead their congregations into deeper partnership.

CATALYST AND ROPE HOLDERS WORKSHOP
Summer 2026 Dates Coming Soon
OMS comes alongside churches to help them discover their unique role in God’s global mission. Our Catalyst and Rope Holders Workshops equip churches to identify and live out their calling—locally, regionally, and globally. Led by trained OMS representatives, these workshops are suitable for single churches or multi-church gatherings and are offered at no cost.
The Catalyst Workshop helps individuals and churches engage in the Great Commission using an Acts 1:8 framework. Like catalysts in chemistry, people empowered by the Spirit spark transformation without burning out. Participants walk through four cycles: Discover, Discern, Develop, and Deploy.
The Rope Holders Workshop, inspired by William Carey’s line, “I will go down into the pit, if you will hold the rope,” focuses on missionary care. Churches learn how to grow from supporting to sending, strengthen care practices, build strong partnerships with agencies, and activate the resources already present within their congregation.
