Internship - Social Media Specialist

In this role you will have two main focuses media coordination and web and social media content management. For media coordination we are looking for a professional, who is familiar with both the complexities of the English language and technology. Working with the web and social media content management the person will focus on updating the website by providing new content and improving old content. Needs to be familiar with basic design principles to maintain a professional appearance on the website while being aware of emerging technological trends. Assist missionaries who may be less familiar with these technologies to provide a smooth implementation of new and old systems. 


  • Lead and coordinate best practices for social media including but not limited to video blogs, and other social media venues  
  • Track social media influencers
  • Ensure consistency of message across multiple networks
  • Ensure that the social media platforms are updated daily
  • Create effective, timely, frequent, and compelling posts for Facebook, Instagram, and other online social media.
  • Going into junior or senior year preferred
  • Strong computer skills in using Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premier Pro, Acrobat, Web Design, Facebook, Instagram and other related sites
  • Self-starter

  • Dates: May 21 - July 14, 2023
  • Location: OMS Headquarters in Greenwood, Indiana
  • Hours per week: 40
  • Compensation: $10 an hour
  • Housing: Included at OMS Headquarters
  • Application deadline: February 1, 2023

Optional: Short-term Mission Trip

Interns have the option to take a short-term mission trip after the conclusion of their paid internship. This is an incredible opportunity to visit an OMS field and serve alongside an OMS missionary team for 7-10 days. Expenses for this trip must be raised by the intern; this trip is not paid for by One Mission Society.
