Facilities Technician

This position will assist the Facilities Manager in maintaining the campus buildings, homes and grounds.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct building maintenance and repairs as necessary.  This may include electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall and other types of work.
  • Complete mowing, trimming, leaf blowing and other types of grounds routine maintenance projects.
  • Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment and supplies.
  • Communicate necessary information to employees and tenants.

Requirements:

  • Previous building maintenance or construction experience required.
  • Must have basic knowledge and experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical and general construction practices.
  • A valid driver's license and safe driving record are required.
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds routinely and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to use a ladder and climb on roofs.
  • Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time during a normal work shift.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Spiritually and emotionally mature.
  • Skills and abilities to build relationships of trust.
  • Has a character of unquestionable integrity. 
  • Is a critical thinker who demonstrates the fruit of the Spirit. 
  • Deeply grounded in the Word of God.
