Garth and Rebecca Cartledge

One Mission Society accepted Garth as a career missionary in March 2006. He serves as the Carolina regional representative for Men for Missions, the short-term mission trip ministry of One Mission Society.

An Indiana native, Garth graduated from Indiana Vocational Technical College with an associates degree in fire science in 1992.

Garth and Becca reside in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, and attend Pawleys Island Community Church. They are active in ministry to the local first responder’s community.

God led Garth to full-time service as a missionary with OMS where he is excited about finding people who are passionate about global missions and engaging them to become more involved. Garth and Becca have led over 40 short-term mission teams to 7 countries. Garth retired after 27 years in the fire service to answer God’s call.

Garth has been married for 36 years to his high school sweetheart, Becca, who is a certified nurse-midwife with Carolina OB/GYN in Murrells Inlet, SC. Becca and Garth have two sons and a daughter. Benton, 31, who is a chemist and resides in Madison, WI, with wife Lauren; Kellan, 30, is an architect living in Los Angeles, CA, and Liana, 21, is a police officer at Marian University in Indianapolis. Liana was adopted from Russia in 1998.
