Harold Brown

Harold Brown, who joined the staff of One Mission Society in 1967 with his wife, Mary, most recently served as the International Ministries assistant regional director for Europe, Eurasia, Haiti, and Mozambique. He also served as an Every Community for Christ shepherd for two countries and assisted with training for African church leaders.

A former pastor and faculty member of John Wesley College, Harold was first appointed to Haiti where he directed and taught in the Emmaus Vocational Bible School (now Emmaus Biblical Seminary) in Cap Haitien. Later, the Browns hosted Villa Ormiso in Port-au-Prince. When he was selected as field leader in 1979, Harold became responsible for coordinating all OMS work in that country and continued in that position until leaving Haiti in the fall of 1992.

Harold was assigned to Russia in 1993 and served for four years as field leader, leading the OMS outreach in the former Soviet Union. Primarily involved with evangelism and church planting, OMS has established a seminary in Moscow.

The Browns have two adult daughters, Sharon and Angie.

Mary passed away in February 2017.
