Chris and Heather Williams
Chris, Heather, Kenley, Madison, and James Williams serve God in Medellín, Colombia. Heather ministers through Bible studies with non-Christians, teaching English and Bible in a public school, and leading the worship team in their local church. Chris serves as the field director for OMS Colombia as well as working in the missions department of the OMS-founded evangelical church of Colombia.
Chris and Heather are passionate about fueling and helping grow the church planting movement in Colombia so that every man, woman, and child in the country may have the opportunity to hear, understand, and respond to the Gospel call of Jesus Christ.
In addition to the church-planting ministry, Chris and Heather work with the Colombian church to inspire, identify, and equip national believers to serve God as missionaries. Chris frequently travels around Colombia, teaching missions with the ultimate desire of catalyzing a missionary movement from Colombia to the nations. The Williamses believe Latin America holds a key role in fulfilling the Great Commission, and they recognize that the Global South is positioned to be used by God in the next great epoch of kingdom expansion. Their desire is to be part of what God is doing to reach all people groups with the Gospel and to make disciples of all the nations. Chris and Heather are passionate about mobilizing anyone that God calls to go anywhere he sends.
Chris holds a B.A. degree from the University of North Alabama, where he majored in history and minored in philosophy of religion. He earned his M.A. in world mission and evangelism from Asbury Theological Seminary.
Before coming to One Mission Society, Chris and Heather were involved in homeless ministry in Birmingham, Alabama. They also served as youth ministers and led the youth program at a local holiness camp meeting. Chris served as a pastor at Shiloh UMC and St. James UMC.
