Karen Neff is a missionary in Taiwan with One Mission Society, working at Morrison Academy since 1983. Morrison is an American school that educates children from the missionary community, as well as from the local and expatriate professional/business communities. After many years of teaching second and third grades, Karen’s responsibilities currently involve working with elementary students and serving the elementary teachers. Her other ministry opportunities have included mentoring high school girls, involvement with extracurricular school activities, and helping at educational conferences for families living in restricted areas of Asia.
Karen grew up in Indiana and graduated from Taylor University in 1976 with a degree in elementary education. While teaching in Detroit, she obtained her master’s degree in education from Oakland University. She also worked with the youth and as a secretary in her local church there.
Karen sees her ministry in Taiwan as three-fold: sharing the Gospel with students who don’t yet know Jesus, encouraging young believers to grow in their spiritual walk, and helping train potential missionaries for the next generation. Her greatest joy comes from seeing her students receive Jesus as their personal Savior, grow in their faith, and impact the world for Christ.
