Lois Taber

Bob and Lois Taber began their evangelism and mission ministries with One Mission Society in 1965 after 16 years in pastoral ministries. God’s call upon their lives to career ministries dates back to their college and seminary years. During a ministry in Haiti, they felt led of God to go into evangelism and in 1965 became missionaries with OMS. This call has not diminished, and their ministries are continuing.

Bob served as an evangelist and OMS regional director from 1965–1990. Several of these years were as vice president of U.S. Ministries.

Through the years, Bob and Lois have had many ministry assignments in the different mission fields of OMS. Since the early 1990s, along with their ministries in the United States, they have worked in Russia, Ukraine, Hungary, Central Asia and India. God has opened many doors for the seminar they taught in the U.S. on “How to Build a Strong Christian Marriage and Family” based on the Bible.

At the heart of their ministry was always the desire that they might help many people experience a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and then commit their lives to daily living a Christ-like life.

Their two sons and two daughters and spouses are committed Christians, and all of their 11 grandchildren are growing in their faith in Christ.

Bob and Lois’ life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.”

Their family motto is “Not Somehow, but Triumphantly.”

Bob went to heaven in April 2015.
