• Guido and Kim Orellana

As missionaries working with One Mission Society, Guido and Kimberly Orellana, together with their daughters, Isabel (10), Elena (7), and Sofia (2), have been asked to return to Ecuador to continue working with Camp Pallatanga, where they have served since 2004. There, the Orellanas serve the Ecuadorian church through camp ministry, while ministering to and discipling local Quichua-speaking Ecuadorians as they continue to improve the camp’s grounds and facility. They also develop evangelistic programs and outreach events for the church, along with hosting short-term teams from the United States and Canada.

Guido graduated from the Evangelical Bible Seminary of Cuenca (SEMBEC) in Ecuador and continues to work on his graduate thesis in order to obtain a degree in theology. In her first term with OMS, Kimberly worked with English evangelism in Cuenca. After their marriage, they began teaching sexual abstinence to youth, parents, and church leaders. Together, they also worked in SEMBEC, with a focus on discipleship through supervised ministry. They have pulled these ministries together to use them at Camp Pallatanga.

After 17 years of being a part of the church, God opened Guido to see the internal needs of the Church. “I would like to see the church in my country make use of all of the tools that are within its reach in order to mature spiritually and to multiply in number. It is my desire to offer the church the tool of camping ministries to further his kingdom in Ecuador.” Guido, Kimberly, and the three little ones, Isabel, Elena, and Sofia, hope to raise the necessary support to return to Ecuador and continue this camp ministry. They are visiting churches to share their vision and passion for the growth of the church in Ecuador through Camp Pallatanga. Guido and Kim are also recruiting short termers to partner with them for their next term at the camp.

And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Hebrews 13:16 (NIV)
