Rob and Lori McGhee
Rob and Lori McGhee have started another chapter of their lives. In June 2016, they were accepted to serve as missionaries with One Mission Society in Haiti. Rob will serve as an information technology specialist for the OMS campus in Vaudreuil, Cowman International School, and Radio Station 4VEH. Some of his duties will include design, operation and maintenance of technology products, databases, web resources, networks, and enterprise systems. Rob will oversee network management and provide technical support to OMS Haiti staff, training technical and non-technical workers on the information systems.
Lori’s focus will be in education. She will serve as needed by the director of Cowman International School. Some of the duties will include administrative needs, substituting for teachers, special events coordinator, and assisting classrooms in music instruction, art instruction, and high school social studies, math, and science.
As a ministry events coordinator, Lori will serve as a liaison for OMS Haiti special events, which may include coordinating Starfish Kids school visits for visiting missionary teams, organizing vacation Bible school events, and helping facilitate leadership development seminars. Both Rob and Lori will serve as English as a Second Language teachers for adults and assist in the OMS Haiti leadership development seminars.
Rob grew up as a military dependent, living in multiple states and Italy while his father served in the Navy. Lori spent her childhood growing up in Mechanicsville, Virginia. Both served for more than 20 years in the United States Air Force and are now blessed to embark on their calling to serve the Lord in Haiti. Rob and Lori’s experiences in the military were part of God’s training that prepared them for the multiple skills they need to fulfill their part in the Great Commission.
Rob and Lori are excited to be a missionary team together, following God's call to use their God-given spiritual gifts and talents to serve others.
