Tom and Faith Kiser

The Lord was so good to lead Tom and Faith Kiser to Christ and instill in them a desire to serve him. In 1977, God led Tom and Faith to attend God’s Bible School & College (GBS) in Cincinnati, Ohio, where they met. While preparing, they both worked in intercity ministries, and during his five years of ministerial training at GBS, Tom pastored Vine Street Mission. After graduating in 1982, Tom and Faith moved to northwest Pennsylvania to pastor the Venus Pilgrim Holiness Church.

In 1989, God called them to New York City. There, they founded an evangelism training ministry, the Go Forth Alliance. Tom, Faith, and their eight children were blessed to lodge, feed, and train wonderful Christian teams from across the U.S. until 2010, when they relocated to Cincinnati.

Tom is passionate about reaching the lost and equipping Christians. The experience he gained from years of street evangelism helped Tom engineer an evangelism tool called “The Prayer Stand,” which is now being used to reach the lost in 41 states and 8 countries.

Training Christians to share their faith also brought to light the common disconnect that takes place between evangelism and discipleship. God’s design is to combine effective evangelism with solid ongoing discipleship. When both of these things consistently happen, disciples and churches multiply. While seeking answers to this need and after much prayer, the Lord divinely led Tom to connect with George Patterson, the original author of the Train & Multiply (T&M) training material. George began coaching Tom in 2008. In the fall of 2013, Tom received training at OMS headquarters to use T&M.

The following year, Tom had a growing conviction that the excellent T&M material needed to be available in an app so Christian workers all over the world could have it available on their devices to easily equip and train others. Giving it prayerful consideration, he began developing a Train & Multiply app.

In January 2015, he met with the leadership of One Mission Society’s Every Community for Christ (ECC) ministry and shared his vision for the T&M app and the part it might play to advance Christ’s kingdom around the world. Tom and the ECC team quickly saw that they shared the same passion and vision, so they began working together on the app. Shortly after, Tom enthusiastically stepped forward to join OMS as a full-time OMS missionary.

Tom’s responsibilities are twofold: Train & Multiply app project manager and church multiplication facilitator for the United States. Tom is passionate about equipping Christians around the world to evangelize, make disciples, train leaders, and multiply churches. Faith plays an important role in supporting Tom and local ministry efforts.

Tom and Faith are the blessed parents of 6 sons and 2 daughters, and they have 12 grandchildren. Two of their sons still live at home.

One Mission Society is an evangelical, interdenominational faith mission that makes disciples of Jesus Christ through intentional evangelism, planting churches, forming strategic partnerships, and training national leaders in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. OMS then joins with those churches in global partnerships to reach the rest of the world.
