Joshua and Allison Fletcher
Joshua and Allison Fletcher, and their three children, Grace, Abigail, and Simeon, live in Cuenca, Ecuador, where Joshua teaches in a local evangelical seminary, and Allison homeschools the children. They also actively support local churches and encourage evangelical leaders, pastors, and church planters in their work. Together, their friends and ministry supporters affectionately call them the Fletcher Five.
Before entering the mission field, the Fletcher Five lived in Concord, North Carolina. Joshua left 14 years of ministry in the local church and Allison left 17 years of service in the public school system to become missionaries with One Mission Society. Allison is the daughter of OMS missionaries who also served in Ecuador for many years while she was a child. Their children are now third-generation missionaries serving alongside them in Ecuador.
Cuenca is a growing city, the third largest in Ecuador, and yet, there are many places with no or very little evangelical Christian presence. Joshua and Allison’s heartbeat is to come alongside local leaders and use their gifts and experience to help equip God’s people to share the Gospel and grow God’s kingdom. They are helping the church in Ecuador mature and grow so that the Ecuadorean church can send out missionaries of their own into the fields that are already ripe for harvest.
