Bill and Jackie Evans #802257

Bill and Jackie Evans serve with Men for Missions (MFM), a ministry of One Mission Society that sends out short-term missions teams. As U.S. national director for MFM, Bill is responsible for the U.S. office, as well as the U.S. regional offices. Bill has the joy and privilege of challenging men, and their families, to use their talents and testimonies to help reach the nations for Christ through short-term teams.

In addition to international involvement, Bill also challenges men to be the best disciples they can be in their homes, churches, communities, and beyond. Being an extrovert at heart, Bill finds it very easy to relate to people within these responsibilities. Serving as a ministry team director for more than 15 years has helped prepare Bill for this role.

Bill has been involved in many areas of ministry within his local church. He has served as the chair of the Missions Work Area, served on the Family Ministry Team, worked with the Evangelism and Outreach Committee, and served on the Finance Committee and the Administrative Board.

After graduation from high school, Bill was admitted into a four-year electrical apprenticeship program. He graduated from that program in 1985 and ran electrical projects for another seven years. He joined Eli Lilly in January of 1993 as an electrician, progressed to become an infrared technician, and closed out his time with Lilly as a maintenance planner/scheduler. Each of these jobs has helped prepare Bill for the work he now does with MFM.

Jackie is the administrator for SHEEP (Southern Haiti Evangelism and Education Program). One Mission Society has many churches in southern Haiti, and one of these churches has a Christian school in Gressier under their umbrella of ministry. Jackie works closely with a small team of Haitians to administer the child sponsorship program for students in these schools. She keeps things organized and makes sure the children are funded to an adequate level to make each school as efficient as possible. Jackie works in the Men for Missions office under the leadership of the MFM global director and the OMS Haiti field leader.

Jackie has been involved with children for many years. She has taught children’s Sunday school, and she has been involved in vacation Bible school in a variety of roles. She taught at a Christian preschool for many years and worked at a local elementary school as well. More recently, she taught a class of two year olds at a local Christian daycare.

Prior to her work with children, Jackie worked in customer service for an insurance company for several years. She also worked for the Indiana Department of Housing and, for a time, served as a legal secretary. The Lord has prepared Jackie with a mix of her love and compassion for children with her former office experience for her current role at MFM.
