Jeff and Laura Edwards
Discipleship and mentoring are our passion. We invest in leaders who can multiply themselves and strengthen the church and missionary service. We serve by helping with strategic vision and leadership development. We focus on transformational teaching to help people become fully devoted followers of Christ. We serve seven fields in Latin America and the Caribbean.
We also have a ministry to couples through mentoring and speaking at retreats. Jeff mentors pastors and Laura is deeply involved in the “Wake up Deborah” ministry, in which thousands of mothers are mobilized to pray daily for their children. We spent 22 years in Brazil in church planting, leadership development and counseling. We both served as professors at Londrina Bible Seminary (LBS). Jeff served as the president of the LBS board while Laura coordinated two graduate programs. When we are in Brazil, we continue serving both the church and LBS.
After growing up in Brazil as the son of OMS missionaries, Jeff returned to the United States and attended Asbury College, where he earned his bachelor’s degree. He holds a master’s degree in theological studies from Wheaton College Graduate School and a doctor of ministry degree in pastoral care and counseling from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Laura has a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Wheaton College Graduate School.
Jeff and Laura have two daughters: Katie, married to Thiago, and Kendra, married to Mark. They also have two grandsons.
