Samuel Barrios serves with One Mission Society as the principal representative in Colombia in the ministry of the New Life Network, a ministry to Hispanic people started in the U.S. and spreading to other countries. He also disciples and mentors young leaders who will be key for the development and multiplication of the network of churches that will be planted in the coming years. Samuel is developing a program to facilitate the New Life Network to touch the essence of the Latin heart, equipping the planted churches to have living and effective worship with music. He is also involved in graphic design and publicity related to the network.
Samuel was born in Medellín, Colombia, to Remberto and Susana. He and his sisters, Saron and Sarita, were blessed to be raised in a Christian home. He entered the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in 2010 to go through an architecture program and graduated in 2016 with honors. From an early age, music has been an important part of Samuel’s life, serving in ministry through music in a church that is part of IGLEICO, a denomination founded by OMS in 1944.
Samuel served in London short term, supporting InterLondon, an IGLECIO church plant there. He also served OMS headquarters in Greenwood, Indiana, as an intern for six months, where he first began working with the New Life Network.
