• Margo Concepcion

Margo Concepcion serves as a mobilizer/recruiter with One Mission Society at the World Headquarters in Greenwood, Indiana. She loves using her passion for discipleship to recruit, coach, and mentor new missionary candidates, helping them fulfill the Great Commission through their unique calling in Christ.

Margo earned a bachelor’s degree in cytotechnology from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1988, but it has been through her later training in biblical counseling and experience as a lay counselor/discipler that the Lord has brought her the most joy and fulfillment over the years. Her work with various Christian ministries has given her a real passion for one-on-one discipleship—coming alongside believers and helping them grow in their relationships with the Lord, put his Word into practice, and fulfill his purpose and calling on their lives. It brings her great satisfaction to serve in a place where she has the privilege of shepherding the holy calling journeys of those whom the Lord is calling into full-time missions.

Margo and her husband Nelson have been married since 1987. They have three daughters: Kristyn, an IUPUI graduate with a degree in clinical laboratory science, who lives on the south side of Indianapolis with her husband Ronnie; Shelby, who holds a master’s degree in linguistics and Spanish and teaches at West Virginia University; and Corynn, who is working on her bachelor’s degree in industrial and innovative design at Cedarville University.

In 2005, Margo, Nelson, and their daughters followed the Lord's call to serve as missionaries to Honduras with Latin America Mission. After a year of language school in Costa Rica, they were privileged to serve for three years at a mission hospital in a remote area on the Caribbean coast of Honduras, where Nelson served as the director of the laboratory and Margo taught ESL classes and abstinence-based education, did one-on-one discipleship, and homeschooled their daughters. They returned to Indiana in June 2009 and reside on the south side of Indianapolis.
