• Heather McPherson

Heather McPherson serves as a mobilizer at the World Headquarters of One Mission Society. She recruits, coaches, supports, and prepares missionary candidates as they discern how God is uniquely calling them. Heather works with missionaries who will serve anywhere from a few months to a few years to a career commitment. Heather is passionate about helping people participate in the Great Commission and loves matching great candidates with critically needed positions around the world, as God leads.

Heather enjoys walking alongside missionary candidates through each step in their missions journey. She loves to pray with candidates, help them identify their gifts and passions, seek the Lord’s direction together, and discuss how they could use their gifts in God’s kingdom. Heather also loves communicating with many fields where OMS has ministry to see what God is doing and what key personnel will be needed to continue moving forward. Whether she is listening to an applicant’s testimony on the phone, spreading the word about opportunities with OMS by visiting colleges, or Skyping with a field leader overseas, Heather is so grateful to be a small part of what God is doing to stir hearts for him around the world!

God has been calling Heather toward missions over time. She had the privilege of going on multiple short-term mission trips while in high school, which created in her a heart for global missions and led her to focus on international studies in college. After completing college and working for a while, God opened the door for Heather to serve at One Mission Society. God has now led her to a role in Mobilization, where she gets to use her gifts and passions to help, inspire, and equip Christians to serve our big, awesome God! Heather invites you to join her in being a part of mobilizing new workers for the harvest field to advance God’s kingdom around the world. Thank you for partnering in ministry through your prayer and financial support.

Heather and her husband, Chad, were married in 2013.
