Colleen Taylor

Since joining One Mission Society in 1978, Canadian Colleen Taylor has served in six nations. She is now serving again in Haiti after spending five years in Mexico City working in the mission office as the treasurer and helping in the mission administration. Her assignment in Haiti is evangelism, including teaching English and helping where needed.

Colleen’s first assignment was to Haiti, where she served as bookkeeper and taught English classes until 1981. Since then, she has served as treasurer in Spain, Colombia, Hong Kong, Mexico and South Korea. On several of these fields, Colleen also taught English as a means of gaining contacts for the church.

In 1969, Colleen graduated from Hillcrest Christian College in Medicine Hat, Alberta. She then spent one year in general business training in Calgary. Preceding her departure for Haiti for her first assignment, Colleen worked as a payroll and accounts payable clerk.

An OMS witnessing crusade to Ecuador in 1976 convinced Colleen that her accounting skills were needed on the mission field.
