One Mission Stories "After the Show" -- Jeremy and Melissa Reese

We hope you enjoyed Sunday night's (March 16) One Mission Stories, OMS' one-hour missionary interview-style radio program, featuring OMS missionaries Jeremy and Melissa Reese, serving in Spain. The interview was done before they left for the field, but today they are there, ministering in youth ministry, teaching English, and helping plant house churches in northeast Spain.

The Reeses talked a lot about their personal call to ministry, missions, and specifically to Spain. It was mainly based on the need there. Out of Spain's 47 million people, less than 1% are evangelical Christians.

We hope you enjoyed Sunday night's (Nov. 16) One Mission Stories, OMS' radio program, featuring OMS Board of Trustee member, Lisa Ausley. Lisa shared many stories of God leading her on her Christian journey.

Lisa shared about the influence of Billy Graham and missionary biographies on her Christianity. She also shared about her long-term desire to be a full-time missionary, yet how God had other plans. He has used Lisa and her husband, a church pastor, to influence and send approximately 35 missionaries to date. She has a goal of 50 in her lifetime.

Lisa attended Asbury University and got involved in the OMS Student Center there, run by OMS missionary Margaret Brabon (at the time), a huge mentor in Lisa's life.

Lisa also mentioned the impact of OMS' cofounder Lettie Cowman's devotional book, Streams in the Desert.

We hope you enjoyed Sunday night's (Oct. 19) One Mission Stories, OMS' radio program, featuring Margaret Neff, an OMS missionary serving in Mexico City, Mexico. Margaret shared many stories of God leading her on her missionary journey.

Mexico is currently involved in several different ministries and have lots of opportunities for you to give, go and pray for their/your work there. Here are the ministries: Margaret shared about MEFI, our street kid ministry and drop-in center in Mexico City. There are an estimated 800,000 street kids in Mexico City. Margaret also shared about church planting in Mexico City, a city of 40 million people. OMS Mexico is working with the OMS-related UNIFAM denomination of churches. They are using the Train & Multiply training material (in which OMS is a partner), with the goal of planting 2 million house churches by 2025.

The Mexico field has many opportunities to serve, including: seminary teaching, teaching English (both of which Margaret is involved), nursing, eXtreme Walk, sports ministry, working with children in VBS', and other administrative needs.

The program shares how the Rays are living a radical life based on the book of Leviticus. We hope you enjoyed Sunday night's (Nov. 24) One Mission Stories, OMS' radio program, featuring University of Indianapolis nursing students and professors, sharing about their medical mission trip to Ecuador.

Six women (2 nursing professors--Becca and Kathy, 3 nursing students--Julie, Emily, and Amberly, and 1 pharmacist--Pam) shared about their experiences on this medical mission trip to Ecuador. For some it was their first mission trip, for others, it was one of many, but all said this one was a memorable one as they traveled in remote mountains villages, sharing medical help, compassion, and God's love with the people.
